The city of Dixon has completed the first stage of a major multi million dollar Riverfront Renewal project called “Heritage Crossing” which turned two blocks of riverfront parking into a downtown gathering place. It now features walking & biking trails, performance space, restrooms, and a life-sized statue of Dixon native, Ronald Reagan. There is also a 4 slip boat dock affording boaters easy access to the downtown area. Tents and an amphitheatre are available for weddings, receptions, parties and events.
