The Byron Park District offers a variety of activities and programs for all ages. The Byron PE Center features a fitness center, four basketball courts, batting cages, indoor track, racquetball courts, and a 25-yard swimming pool. Community Parks include Blackhawk Meadow Park, Tiger Town Park, Hamas Memorial Park, and the Skate Park.
In fall of 2017, Hamas Memorial Park was completely regraded and now has a new playground, boat docks, kayak launch, shelters, parking lot, walking trails and site furnishings. Visitors can take advantage of the boat docks and kayak launch, conveniently located within walking distance of local restaurants and stores.
