📍Morrison-Rockwood State Park
🗺️ 18750 Lake Rd, Morrison, IL 61270
This state park is perfect right now for Fall colors.
Campground is quiet and spacious.
Each site has electricity, grill and a table. A shower building with flush toilets is available from May 1 through October 31. A trailer dump station is conveniently located near the campground. Most sites are flat. I would recommend 28 91 26. Or 82 83 is closest to showers.
It is perfect for horses as they have 14 miles of trail. It also has a model airplane site for flying. Kayaking and fishing ( there is rentals available) and a restaurant and somewhere to buy bait.
Camping is only $20
Closest gas + groceries + laundromat is 15 mins away.

Are just some of the many things to do in the area. Since the states ( Iowa/ Illinois meet at the Mississippi you can explore both states while there.
